For cricket fans around the world, the Pakistan vs. New Zealand match was a lot of things: entertaining, nerve-wracking, and a revelation that we’ve been undervaluing Haris Rauf as a bowler thus far. Rauf took four magnificent wickets on Tuesday night. And since then, people have been rushing to Twitter to send apologetic memes.
Despite the fact that Pakistan’s batting line struggled in the second half of the match. We were still able to win, thanks in part to Haris Rauf’s four wickets against New Zealand. As soon as Rauf began to impress us with his skills, apologies began to be issued. The man was instrumental in keeping our hearts from breaking. And his detractors began crumbling left, right, and centre.

If there were any concerns about Rauf’s bowling ability before the third wicket. They were dispelled after the fourth.
On Twitter, apology papers were quickly distributed. And users were encouraged to explain why they were wrongfully hating on Rauf. While also committing to never do so again.

People started filling out the applications, and the deadline for submitting them was midnight.
Cricketers Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik were also included on the list after they helped Pakistan’s batting.

Perhaps simply apologising to Ali and Rauf will suffice. Sorry, Malik, you’ve already had a few years to redeem yourself. These young men are still in the early stages of their professions.

Rauf Promoted
Rauf was really ‘promoted’ to the rank of Brigadier as soon as he departed the Sharjah stadium.
His Wikipedia entry has been amended to reflect this. Rauf, in the end, taught his audience a vital lesson. Do not pass judgement on a player’s potential too quickly, especially if they are only starting out in their careers. We hope that all of our guys will show up shortly to disprove their critics.
