OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT, has released a plugin that lets the chatbot use the internet and does many other things. ChatGPT will be out by the end of 2022, and it has taken over the tech world. ChatGPT and its creators have come a long way since receiving a deal worth $10 billion from Microsoft, becoming one of the most popular websites on the internet, and releasing an even stronger AI version.
ChatGPT now has the ability to browse the internet and perform a variety of tasks, adding to its list of features. This new feature, which is not built in, will be made available by ChatGPT plugins that have just been released. ChatGPT will be able to access web-based databases and other knowledge sources thanks to these plugins.
These plugins, which will be available in Alpha, will be made available to developers and users who are currently on the waitlist. However, for now, only a select group of developers and ChatGPT premium subscribers will have access to these features from OpenAI. Along with API access, the feature will be made available later on a larger scale.
OpenAI also announced that developers would soon be able to create and distribute their own ChatGPT plugins, in addition to announcing the release of these plugins.
“Starting with ChatGPT Plus subscribers today, we are beginning to gradually enable existing plugins from our early collaborators for ChatGPT users. OpenAI stated on its blog, “We’re also beginning to roll out the ability for developers to create their own plugins for ChatGPT.”
