Microsoft Edge Might Get a Split-Screen Function Soon
Details indicate that users will be able to compare tabs side by side with this split-screen feature. If you are a frequent internet user, you may have constantly switched between tabs when you wanted to compare the information. Apparently, Edge is testing a new feature that will allow users to split the screen and simultaneously view two tabs.
Leopeva64-2, a Redditor, made the announcement that the feature is available in Microsoft Edge’s Beta and Canary versions. The feature is shown to be under-tested by being marked experimental.
A split screen button next to the address bar appears on the edge browser each time the feature is activated. This button divides the edge window into two tabs when clicked, making it easier to compare things and making it easier to use them.
By default, Windows allows users of any browser to close one tab, open another, and then compare information between the two tabs. On the other hand, this takes a lot of time and can be hard to understand because it’s hard to get the two tabs in the right proportion.
Edge users will be able to perform the same actions with the help of the new feature by simply pressing a single button.
Microsoft hasn’t said when the new feature will be available, but if they do, we’ll let you know!
