NADRA Introduces AI-based Citizen Fingerprint Verification
On Thursday, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) unveiled a brand-new artificial intelligence-based technology that provides seniors over the age of 60 with a fingerprint authentication option.

The Chair declared:
“After receiving several complaints about checking the fingerprints of seniors when opening bank accounts or receiving money,” “NADRA implemented his AI-based solution.”
Seniors had to wait for hours in line to have their sims and other documents biometrically verified. This issue will be resolved by the introduction of this new technology, saving the elderly from having to try again. Through Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, Tariq wanted banks to smoothly implement the new system.
The service is currently being offered by five banks, including MCB, Allied Bank, Bank Al Falah, Bank of Khyber, Soneri Bank, National Bank, and Askari Bank, according to NADRA. There are currently 46 banks operating in the country. Before launching the service, Khushali Bank, First Women Bank Limited, and the Bank will go through final testing. Soon, the service will be available at all Pakistani banks, so there will be no more haggling.
