PM Imran Khan makes surprise visit of Islamabad localities.
ISLAMABAD:
PM Imran Khan on Sunday made a surprise visit to different localities of the federal capital to inspect the business activities. Implementation of anti-COVID standard operating procedures, as well as development, works.
The prime minister personally drove the vehicle setting aside the protocol.
Pictures and videos shared by the Prime Minister’s Office and lawmakers showed Prime Minister Imran driving himself to different areas and talking to people.

The PM visited G-11 Markaz and talked to vendors. He instructed them to adhere to SoPs.

In G-11 Markaz, he visited the modular carts placed under the Ehsaas programme’s Rerhi Baan initiative. He asked vendors about their business and instructed them to adhere to the SOPs.
The prime minister also visited the sewerage plant in sector I-9. And the under-construction Korang Cricket Ground. Where he was given a briefing about the project.
The prime minister, who also wore a mask. Also advised a boy at a cart to wear the mask. As part of the government’s efforts to strictly implement the anti-COVID precautions amidst third wave of the pandemic.
“Get a mask for your little brother too,” Khan told a young boy. Who like others were pleasantly surprised to find the prime minister amidst them.
While frying samosas for Iftar shoppers. Qurban Ali, a cart owner, thanked the prime minister. And his government for providing them a business point to help them earn livelihood for their families. “We are grateful to you, that you thought about us,” Qurban commented.
The prime minister also went around different stalls of fruits and other stuff in the market.

Without creating any interruption in the traffic flow. The prime minister drove through the crowded streets of the city. And also stopped at the traffic signal.

He also inspected the stone lining of storm water drains.

Prime Minister Imran was accompanied on the tour. By PTI Senator Faisal Javed Khan and Capital Development Authority Chairman Amer Ahmed Ali.
In a tweet, Senator Khan said. Prime Minister Imran while driving today had “stopped at every signal”. And waited for the traffic light to turn green.
“Others should put an end to VIP culture in the same manner,” he said, adding that the prime minister did not have any protocol with him.
