Samsung’s 360-Degree Rotating Folding Phone
Samsung is a major player in the mobile phone industry. Samsung has long produced high-tech smartphones. This time Samsung has introduced its brand new prototype display that rotates 360 degrees.
At CES 2023, Samsung Display, a division of the company that makes screens, showed off new prototypes of displays and hinges. Samsung Fold Galaxy models have always had displays that fold inwards. A new hinge and prototype display design reduce wrinkles. This display also eliminates the need for a separate external display.
Samsung spokesman John Lucas claims that the phone’s “flex-in-out” display can be folded, folded, and rotated 360 degrees.
This allows you to unfold the display like a newspaper or fold it outward and wrap it around your device like a bound book.
Additionally, the display offers a different hinge design, which leads to a relatively discreet stop. The “waterdrop hinge” allows the collection to fold inward into a waterdrop shape and loose.
In the past, a few years ago, Samsung prototyped a foldable design known as his Flex In and Out.
According to Tom’s Guide, the “Flex In & Out” display was also showcased at his 2021 International Information Display Conference (IMID) in South Korea.
Despite the different strategies, the display folded into an ‘S’ shape with several segments. Starting with the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Samsung’s Fold Collection displays can only be folded flat in one direction.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z fold 5 could come with a revolutionary new screen.
Rumor has it that the crease is less noticeable due to the similar hinge design.
Although the release date has already been announced, the Z Fold 5 is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 series, which is set to be unveiled at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on February 1st, has been eagerly awaited by the general public. Design Some people believe that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 hinges have a buggy “U” shaped hinge, so the design is correct. Also, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 looks like other foldable smartphones without too many folds.
One of the major problems of current foldables is solved by this design. Folding outward expands the display even more. The result is definitely wrinkles on the screen. A new hinge, on the other hand, cushions the screen along the crease when you fold the device inwards.
