We don’t know about you, but our Instagram feeds this July have been full of Shahmeer Shunaid’s wedding events. And one thing we noticed, apart from the celebrity filled guest list, is that the fashion game has been exceptionally strong. Last night’s valima was no exception.
Shunaid is the grandson of Sultana Siddiqui, president and founder of Hum Network Limited. Many of the celebrities who were previously seen at Shunaid’s dholki attended the valima on July 16. Social media has been abuzz discussing which celebrity wore what last night. We ended up liking quite a lot of the outfits we saw and we’ve rounded up a few of our favourites for you.
Mansha Pasha’s lehnga choli is one outfit we would love to get our hands on. The colour palette was nicely done. And the golden embroidery on the dupatta alone brought some very classy oomph to the dress. We liked Yumna Zaidi and Amar Khan’s silver on white ensembles as well. Nothing too over the top and yet appropriately formal nonetheless.
Mahira Khan:
Mahira Khan seems to have played it pretty safe this wedding. Although we liked her all-beige sharara topped with jhumkas and open hair, it isn’t anything we haven’t already seen on the actor before. Here’s a cute picture of Mahira hugging Zaidi.
Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain:
We loved seeing Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain at the valima. We liked Hussain’s shalwar kameez and waistcoat as well. The pink pocket square was a nice touch to the over all neutral colour scheme.
Sara Khan:
Sarah Khan’s blue silk saree was nothing flashy yet quite elegant. The colour contrasted well against husband Falak Shabir’s all black shalwar kameez. Here’s the couple posing for the camera with actor Imran Ashraf.
Zara Noor Abbas:
We liked the formal red dupatta paired with Zara Noor Abbas’s all black outfit. We’re suckers for scene-stealing dupattas and felt it brought just the right amount of glamour. To her look paired with gold jhumkas and red lipstick.
Saboor Aly:
Actor Saboor Aly was pictured alongside fiance Ali Ansari. The couple complemented each other with all black outfits. And we definitely wouldn’t mind wearing Aly’s lehnga choli to the next wedding we attend.
Our celebrities have given us quite the inspiration for the wedding season ahead. We wonder if all-white outfits are going to be the next big thing in wedding-wear. Solid coloured outfits with minimal contrasts have also made a comeback. The only thing missing from the celebrities’ outfits was one rather crucial accessory — a mask.
