From a small town girl in Bareilly, to Miss World 2000, Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women, her own music album and a career in both, Bollywood and Hollywood, Priyanka Chopra Jonas also just finished writing her memoir. The book, set to hit shelves on Jan. 19
Titled Unfinished, the book is an insight into the actor’s struggles throughout the years, the ‘in-between interviews’ of her life, the public version versus her own story.
“I’ve always been private about my struggles which I will discuss in the book,” she said, revealing that the ironically, the memoir was named years before she actually started writing it.
“Having been a public person now for 20 years, with so much life to live and a long list of things to check off my list personally and professionally, I am very much unfinished,” said Chopra, as she spoke about the content of the book.
“The funny thing about writing a memoir is that it forces you to look at things differently, reconciling so many things you thought you had put to bed.”
Discussing the highs and lows both in her career and personal life, she also admitted being driven by curiosity, having the intrinsic need to constantly evolve and move forward at all times.
Of her upcoming memoir, Chopra Jonas teases that readers will learn how she “became me during the ‘in between’ of what you haven’t seen.”
“I also hope you’ll walk away with the confidence of knowing that IT’S OK to pick up, walk away, leave things unfinished, and move on to what’s next if that’s what your journey requires to get to the next destination. We all have a different story to tell, this is my story, and I am #Unfinished.”
