Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have reportedly split up. The celebrity couple decided to go separate ways after Malik allegedly struck Hadid’s mother. Malik took to social media to refute claims made by mother-in-law Yolanda Hadid. However, he was fined. Meanwhile Gigi’s sister, Bella Hadid also surfaced with a cryptic social media post against the British singer. So what is the story?

So here goes the story. Zayn Malik dismissed claims made by Yolanda that he assaulted her. He categorically denies striking her and wants his mother-in-law to reconsider the allegations. Subsequently, he issued a message on twitter about the “private” family situation. He made it clear that he wants to protect baby Khai in this feud. So as a result, he has agreed to not contest claims arising from the argument at his home with his mother-in-law. He asserted that he wants to co-parent the baby in peace and is unhappy with the interference of the press.

The former One Direction member, 28, is hoping there would be healing amongst the family members despite the hard talk between them. Thus, reports confirm that the Pillowtalk crooner, separated from his partner, Gigi, ‘silently’ after seeing her on and off since 2015. Further, they reconnected recently in January 2020 after news spread that the American supermodel was expecting. Apparently, the couple had been having problems for a while.

Nevertheless, Malik was charged with four criminal offences of harassment after he swore at his mother-in-law, according to reports. So Malik pleaded no contest for the charges against him and was fined. In addition, a 90-day probation follows for each of the four charges (360 days in total). Further, he must complete both an anger management class and a domestic violence program. Also, no contact with Yolanda can happen. If the handsome musician meets all the above-mentioned conditions within six months, his probation will end.
